The Home Stretch

All good things must come to an end, and what better way to top off an altogether stellar week than visiting my friend Pippa in Nottingham?!

Admittedly, the journey up to the midlands was not without its difficulties. Less than halfway down our coach stopped in the middle lane of the M1 as the brakes locked. This led to us having to wait for the police and the AA to come to our rescue. Roughly an hour later we were lucky enough to jump on a passing 707 to Milton Keynes, where we waited for another hour for a connection to Nottingham. Somewhere along the way my luggage went missing, meaning the weekend had to be survived without a change of clothes, yay. It was interesting, however that once the failure jarred us out of our iPods and laptops, people were really willing to talk to each other, united by anger and frustration. 8 hours later I arrived, one suitcase lighter but Pippa had Domino’s so all was good!

Now for the home stretch, five weeks of education, six weeks of Easter and a whole lot of revisiocrastination stand between me and summatives/summer

Our first day there was absolutely gorgeous, loved waking up to this

I’ve just been really unlucky with this batch of film! DSC_0048

The Malt Cross is a Christian coffee shop in the city. Bunting everywhere, faded and cracked leather chairs, the interior is really lovely, and the hot chocolate is, indeed, to die for! DSC_0060 DSC_0072 DSC_0073 DSC_0076 DSC_0079
