Stress

Living away from halls for second year is not without it’s challenges.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea of having a kitchen of my own, not having an 11 o’clock curfew and not having to squish your entire life into 4 walls, but there’s this whole new world of house dynamics that I was totally unprepared for.

Sometimes this is great, you’re with people you chose to live with which means you don’t really have to make an effort when you get in because you know them well, you have banter and can share everything with them because, well, you’re living together right? However, as time goes on, small things creep in that threaten this utopian arrangement. You begin to see peoples character the longer you spend with them, and sometimes, I really wish they remained fake because at least with that you know where you stand!

This does work two ways though, there are times when the people you least expect to make your day do something totally unconscious that no one else would ever notice and that they gain nothing from. This goes some way to balance out the bad.

Two weeks in and we’ve already had a near death experience, who knows what the rest of the year will bring!

Hahaha! This is so true. You have to make sure you step out yourself for a moment at times to make sure your not contributing to the grief as well though.
